Our Go-To Water Pack for Minimalist Adventures

Our Go-To Water Pack for Minimalist Adventures

We love our adventurous lifestyle and try to stay active with outdoor activities. With all of our exploring, we needed a perfect water pack for minimalist adventures.

Before we buy any new item it has to make the minimalist cut by being amazing and versatile. We found a lightweight water pack that fits our hydration needs while also being great for our daily adventures.

The Best Water Pack For MinimalistsFor several years now we have relied on the Nathan Vapor Water Pack and it has been nothing but good to us. We have now been using the packs for over six years and it's still going strong!

Phil was the first one to discover this pack when he bought it for Kelsey on her birthday in 2014. Since we loved Kelsey's so much we decided to get Phil the same one but for men.

· We own each one of the below options. We are writing about them because we love them and want to share our finds with our readers. As always, all thoughts and opinions are our own. For more information on our reviews, check out our disclaimers ·

The Water Pack Features

Nathans Vapors Mens Waterpack Side Pockets

Pockets

Our go-to water pack for minimalist hikesKelsey's water pack has four zipper pockets in total but Phil's has six zipper pockets total. The locations of the pockets encase the entire water pack along the lower sides, the upper straps, and the back.

There are also some pockets that don't zip perfect for a water bottle with a little velcro pocket above that. Each pack also has a tiny little pocket that could only fit some loose change.

With all of the pockets, we can fit a lot. Phil honestly has never used all the pockets and thinks it may be too many.

There is room for a water bottle, food bar plus other snacks, Bandaids along with a utility knife, life straw, solar panel light, and more. Phil will fill both sides with candy, trail mix, and other snacks.

Water Pouch

The water pouch has a plastic slide-on clip to keep it spill-proof. The compartment for the pack is tightened by four straps accessed in the front.

This way you can tighten it while running as you drink more of the water to reduce movement of the pack. The water hose then comes to the front and attaches via a magnetic clip in the front.

To get the water you have to bite down which helps keeps the water from leaking. We can run for miles and hike all over without losing any water.

Extras

Near the water pack is an opening to put ice if you want to keep the water extra cool. There are also two straps in front to connect the bag across your chest which is supposed to help with back support.

Why We Love It

Nathan Vapor Women's Waterpack on Kelsey's Back

Kelsey takes hydration to the next level and if she is thirsty then she is miserable. This pack was a perfect idea.

She uses it for both distance running and hiking. It fits very well plus looks cute too.

The pack she owns is white which gets dirty easy but the bag is machine washable. Probably the best part is how you can tighten up the water pack area.

Sometimes during long runs, the tiniest thing can be annoying and the sensation and sound of water sloshing are one of them. As long as you tighten the straps then this problem is avoided.

Back of WaterpackPhil loves how lightweight the bag is. Since he has so many pockets, it can be a great hiking pack substitute that stays lightweight for day hikes.

The water bag itself is also very versatile and can be used in other packs like a thru-hiking bag. Also thanks to the small size of the bag, it can be stored easily in our minimalist wardrobe without taking up much space.

This water pack is very durable and we've owned this bag for years without any issues. We highly recommend picking up the Nathan Vapor Pack or the newer version (The Nathan VaporAir Pack) to help you get outdoors more!Phil with his water pack hiking

We love our water packs for minimalist adventures. It's a great running water pack or just what we need for a day hike.

We have larger hiking backpacks for overnight thru-hikes or packing for long trips and our water packs fit perfectly inside. Since our Nathan packs work best for day adventures it's easy to always have with us.
